Phone Book Wall Art

I know that you can't hang candles sideways, but maybe with battery powered candles and some efforts against gravity someone could make these into a large three dimensional pattern. A giant pattern up a wall. This would be hard. Hmmm....

Falling Flowers

I'm pretty sure these are paper flowers. They could be a large punch. They could be hand cut. These are things I don't know. What I do know is that that is basically a whole of of awesome, and the next time I'm taking over my parents' house for a part outside, these (hopefully punched) bad boys shall be hanging from some barn somewhere.

Photographer and stylist Jessica May knows how to put pinwheels to good use. This would be a wonderful altar piece or just wall art. Do you think it'd be possible to make grouped pinwheels like this into a table display? Amass them in the center of the table and then have them move out toward the edges and thin? I might have a weekend project to try!

Altar Type (via Snippet and Ink)

Graphical type is awesome anywhere. I love this idea from the Faux Wedding designed by Grey Likes Weddings and photographed by Bonnie Tsang. I think you could do something something similar by painting painter's paper and then stamping big letters on it. It'd take some time and by the end of it all, may have been worth the price of just buying the signage, but still, sometimes the process is the fun part.

This photoshoot has a lot of elements that my sort of dream wedding would. Hmm...actually I don't like the term dream wedding. It has a lot of elements I think would be cool to incorporate into a wedding or party.

I love the escort card set up. I love the wire (I really love wire and would love to find places to use it.) Paper flowers. (Oh you guys reading this are probably getting hand cramps just *thinking* about fabric flowers :)

K + Z ! (by Me)

We will have people walk under some trees. I'm working on things to hang from the trees (and maybe hang down from balloons in our livingroom. *Maybe*) I originally wanted to try and have beads where the circles are but beads are kind of expensive and my attempts at painting cheap plastic beads with cheap craft paint was a bit of a disaster. (I should try spray paint. Spray paint is magical.) So instead I cut circles out of my fabric sample books.

Butterflies and Birdcages

This image from Style Me Pretty's Inspiration to Reality series couldn't have come at a better time. Last night I was thinking about our pre ceremony area, and I'm trying to come up with ways of making the whole area seem connected. (It'll be a living room with doors opening onto a patio and then part of a lawn.) What I think I'd like to try to do is create a birdcage installation up one of the wooden beams in the patio. Have a pile of birdcages that come up around this beam and inside the cages are paper and fabric hearts. These hearts come out of the bird cages and move across one of the horizontal beams and transform into butterflies.

This is from Wiley Valentine  letterpress. The bride used letterpress coaster as escort cards. What I love (beyond letterpress, swoon) is the clever set up.

We may need to cord off our front yard and I'm looking for ways to make it it's own space. Instead of a lawn smack dab next to the road.
