Glitter Wire (via Oh Happy Day)

There are so many possibilities for this DIY craft I don't even know where to begin. (Side note, is it OK to spray paint inside? This seems like a really bad idea from a particulate standpoint. I ask b/c we no longer have a yard and it's spray painting time of year.)

I love wire. Bending it is really hard on my fingers and wrist so I try and keep it to a minimum, but maybe I should start these bad boys NOW for let's say, Christmas ornaments or package tags. They'd make great card decorations or birthday. Ooooh: Wrap one into a friend's name and then hang it from a birthday balloons. Or make it into shapes and then add a pin or clip for a shirt or hair.

The World Needs More Sugar Hearts

There is a world where every dessert has a heart on it. (Follow the Wedding Chicks link to see the wedding cake using these bad boys.) I make a promise to you. Next Valentine's Day, there shall be sugar cookies with sugar hearts.

PS- Wouldn't "The Sugar Hearts" be the best band name ever?! Any takers? Hmmm?!

Falling Flowers

I'm pretty sure these are paper flowers. They could be a large punch. They could be hand cut. These are things I don't know. What I do know is that that is basically a whole of of awesome, and the next time I'm taking over my parents' house for a part outside, these (hopefully punched) bad boys shall be hanging from some barn somewhere.

Table Numbers (via poppytalk)

Table numbers are one of those projects that can be last minute or done months ahead. (I say go for it months ahead buuuut we were doing it literally day of *cough*) They also can be really pretty without being super complicated. This vintage frame tutorial over at Project Wedding illustrates that. Speaking from personal experience, Goodwill always has a half dozen small (4x6ish) metal frames. Paint them or use them as is. Our table numbers looked a lot like the "5" in this photograph but with much simpler typography. An absolute GREAT use of all that paper you (and by you I mean me) have been hoarding.

Hurrah Cards on Store Bought Cards

Most of the thank you cards I stenciled onto trimmed, 12x12 craft paper. However, when I was cleaning out my card file I realized what I really should be doing is stenciling onto pretty store bought cards I already owned. I have a bad (good?) habit of picking up sale items in craft and stationary stores. I have more than I need. This is a great way to use them! I must remember this for upcoming holiday cards.

Heart Punch Scrap Project (Tutorial)

I punched out a bunch of hearts recently and when I threw the scraps into a drawer they plopped onto some pretty paper also lying dormant in my pile. "Hmmmm..." I thought and put aside the Sunday night cleaning and got creative.

The result is a great way to use scraps, as embellishments for envelopes. Simply carefully cut around the outside of the punch, glue onto a piece of scrap fabric or paper, trim and wallah. There you have it.

Flower Bracelet (tutorial)

At some point in a wedding it feels like you're trying to put flowers on anything that moves. You corner groomsmen near the beer and grandmothers at the cake. If they hold still too long you get them with with boutonniere or corsage. It's a fun way to mark the people either in the wedding party or part of the family.

This flower bracelet from Sarah True and Chase Rivers (via SMP) is a great option for your flower covering needs. They use live flowers but I think it would work with a few adjustments with fabric flowers.

Idea: Make these at your bridal shower as either take homes or for the wedding. OR make them before the bridal shower and give them as favors.

Cocktail Party Invite Tutorial (Via 100 Layer Cake)

This would be a great bridal party invite. Or really a fantastic invite to any type of party. Just change the colors of the paper according to the season. Check out the tutorial instructions at Martha Stewart.

(I think it would be cool to make these, put them in a box and send them to bridal party and mothers post wedding. Instead of a name it would just say, "Congratulations!"  And it would be for having survived the wedding. :)

Adorable. Is there enough time to make 100 in two weeks of these with different types of owls? Just joking, but this owl creation by Denise Sharp. Wow. Just add a bow and a heart and it's the valentines bag I'm going to be using for the next decade. Love!

We are figuring out lights this weekend. Who wants to make 20 of these bad boys from photographer Ashley Ann? OK, so that's not happening but I'm still playing with the idea of going out and finding a bunch of lamp shades. Japanese Masking Tape

This frame is from a little DIY tutorial from Holly Becker over at one of my favorite design blogs Decor8. She took IKEA frames and Japanese tape. (I loooove this stuff and while I have a bunch of it, will be collecting more I'm sure!)

These could be made as drink signage. Tea! Coffee! Or just to put around a very cool Jennifer Davis print as Holly did in her post. (Check out her chicken print!)

Ruffle Belt (Via Rachel of Heart of Light)

I need to start getting to work on dress alterations. I'm having mixed feelings about some of the things I want to try. I need to get advice but I'm a little worried I look like a fool, which makes me both need advice but also worried about getting it. :)

Something like this belt could work really well as a ruffly strap. This is the clever work of Rachel from Heart of Light blog.

The flower construction is similar to a type I've been doing for bouquets.

Peg Board Boxes

I keep thinking I have a centerpiece and then I suddenly do not. I don't think this is indecisiveness, I think it's, well, from some other place. We came up with something we liked but we can't find more of the vases that made it what it was. So back to the drawing board.

Enter pegboard box. This is the bright idea of another Kelly over at Yes Please (via 100LayerCake).

This weekend it's centerpieces again. So this faux milk glass tutorial is quite helpful. I may try the same idea but with a different color because as I read at 12:30am last night when my brain caught on fire, you don't have worry about how the stems look in an opaque vase.
